When you register a work, Koma computes a SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact file. Change a single pixel or a single second of audio and the fingerprint changes. The fingerprint can't be turned back into your file, so it says what existed without exposing the work itself.
Koma sends the fingerprint, and only the fingerprint, to two outside services. OpenTimestamps anchors it to the Bitcoin ledger. An independent timestamp authority signs it with the exact time. Anyone can check either one without taking Koma's word for it.
Every registration gets a record page and a Certificate of Origin showing the title, your name, the registration date, the fingerprint and the terms you set: whether others can use the work to train AI, use it commercially, or must credit you. Records are public or unlisted, your choice.
The file you register is stored write-once. It can't be swapped out or quietly replaced later, so the file always matches its fingerprint.
Koma is a witness, not a judge. You attest that the work is yours. Koma catches exact duplicates already on the register and makes a fake easier to expose later. It records origin, who made it and when, and doesn't rule on ownership disputes.
Telli scans the web for copies of your images and shows you where they turn up. When one is a problem, Koma helps you draft and send a takedown notice. Telli scans images today.
Every work on Koma is restricted from AI training unless you choose to allow it. Koma marks each record page and image as restricted in the machine-readable formats EU rules recognize, and tells the major AI training crawlers, from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Apple and Meta, to stay off your records and files. Those companies have publicly said their crawlers follow these instructions. Search engines still find your work.
Koma never trains on your work, and uses AI only when you ask it to.
