Koma is a register of origin for creative work. Artists, photographers, musicians, designers, filmmakers, comedians: anyone who makes something can register their work, new or existing, and receive a permanent, verifiable record of authorship.
The moment creative work leaves a creator's hands, control dissolves. Work gets copied, scraped, misattributed, used in campaigns. Usually without consent and without recourse. Most creators discover this after the damage is done, and they have nothing to prove they made it first.
As AI and emerging technology make it easier than ever to copy, remix, and strip attribution at scale, the question of who made what and when has never mattered more.
Koma is built for that moment.
You already know when you made something. Koma just makes that fact permanent. Koma generates a cryptographic fingerprint, a unique code derived from the actual bytes of the file. Change a single pixel, a single frame, and the fingerprint changes. Koma stores the exact file you upload. The original is never resized, re-encoded, or altered. That fingerprint is anchored to the Bitcoin ledger and timestamped by an independent authority, at a permanent URL you can share and anyone can verify.
Every registered work receives a Certificate of Origin, a downloadable record that witnesses the file, its fingerprint, and the date it was registered with Koma. Keep it, share it, or delete the record anytime.
Every work is marked do not train for AI unless you allow it. AI training crawlers are told to stay off, and images shared from Koma carry a hidden do not train note written into the file. Telli scans the web for copies and helps you send a takedown when one turns up.
Koma does not own your work. Koma does not validate legal claims or enforce rights. Your work is yours. Koma keeps the record of it in a place no one can quietly change.
The record is platform independent. It does not live inside Adobe, Instagram, or any tool you used to make the work. It lives at a permanent URL you own. Platforms change, get acquired, shut down. A Koma record does not.
Koma is not a copyright filing service. Koma is not a legal instrument. Koma does not replace an attorney or a formal rights registration.
Koma is evidence. A timestamped, cryptographically verified record of origin that exists before you ever need it, and is there when you do.
You already prove your work is yours, a post, a file date, your own memory of when. None of that holds up on its own. Koma gives that instinct a record that actually does.
Registration takes under a minute. The record lasts forever.
Shepard Fairey registers his work on Koma.
Three of Fairey's works, including the Hope Obama print and the globally recognized OBEY icon, are sealed and timestamped on the Koma registry. Public Certificates of Origin record each in his name.
"Koma is like big brother, but working for you."
Shepard Fairey
Koma is lean by design. No crypto wallet. No tokens. No transaction fees. No platform dependency. Just a permanent record that belongs to the creator. Efficient, independent, and built to last.
